How we keep your books separate, control who can see them, and check every number before it reaches you.
1. Our approach
A company's books hold its bank balances, salaries, vendors and tax position. We treat them that way: kept separate, seen by as few people as possible, and every change traceable.
2. Every company kept separate
Each company has its own books, rules and memory. Nothing learned from one company's books is applied to another's. CA firms see all their clients in one login, but each client's records stay apart.
3. Who can see your books
Only the people your company or firm adds, and Closio's founder, who handles onboarding and support.
4. Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS, and at rest.
5. Hosting
Closio is hosted in India, and customer data is stored there.
6. How AI is used
Deterministic engines do the arithmetic: matching, totals, tie-outs and statements. AI reads documents and answers questions, and every figure it shows links back to the entry and document behind it. The AI models are OpenAI's, used through its API: OpenAI does not train on this data and keeps it for at most 30 days for abuse monitoring.
7. Checks on every close
Every close runs its tie-out checks before anything is reported. When two sources disagree, Closio raises an exception instead of guessing, and anything unclear is held for a person to decide.
8. Leaving Closio
When an agreement ends, we return your books in standard formats and delete them within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. See our privacy policy.
9. Reporting a security issue
If you think you have found a vulnerability, write to [email protected]. Please give us time to fix it before sharing it publicly.
